- Read the play in its entirety before auditioning.
- Sign up for an audition time, if applicable.
- Come to the audition prepared; specific requirements will be posted on audition notices.

There are no set 'roles' for inVISIBLE (Too). We intend to cast a diverse group of people of all backgrounds, genders, and abilities. A starting point of our exploration is the question, "What does it mean to be human?" and we intend to explore that with a focus on the perspectives of female identified people, people of colour, and members of the LGBTQQIP2SAA community.
Participants will be encouraged to share personal stories and be unapologetically themselves during this piece. We prioritize a safe and nurturing space where communication and consent are key. It is our intention to cast 8 - 10 participants. Both performers and non-performers are encouraged to apply.
To arrange an audition, please send an email to Gail Hanrahan (email@example.com) with your show history, and a statement saying why you are interested in taking park in inVISIBLE (Too). What to expect/prepare for the audition:
We would love to take the opportunity to get to know you. We ask you to prepare something 2 - 3 minutes long in response to the prompt: What I want you to know about me is....
Please respond and share however you want. Here are some of the ways in which we welcome a response:
- A piece of music
- A story (real or fictional)
- A movement piece
- A piece of art or writing
- Visual Art
Feel free to think outside the box...or not. We invite you to focus on being authentic, rather than impressive. We ask you to share your heart, in whatever way makes sense to you.
We will be sharing these responses in a group setting. Please come prepared to move and prepared to write, as we will likely explore other prompts during our time together.
It is our intention to cast a group of individuals who are willing to be open and work cohesively in an ensemble.
Feel free to contact Gail Hanrahan with any questions about the show.

Failure: A Love Story
About the Show:
By the end of 1928, all three Fail sisters will be dead -- expiring in reverse order, youngest to oldest, from blunt object to the head, disappearance, and finally consumption. Tuneful songs, and a whimsical chorus follow the story of Nelly, Jenny June, and Gerty as they live out their lives above the family clock repair shop near the Chicago River, before their time unexpectedly runs out. A magical, musical fable where, in the end, the power of love is far greater than any individual's successes or failures.
