The Scientific Office of Provincial Seniors Health and Continuing Care, Alberta Health Services, is providing funds for a Knowledge Synthesis Competition to enable the synthesis of research evidence available to inform research and health system decision-making. The aim of this competition will be to produce valid and trustworthy knowledge syntheses in content areas of importance to Provincial Seniors Health and Continuing Care and aligned with its priority areas.
Eligibility
Eligible Principal Applicants must hold an academic appointment at an academic institution in Alberta. The research team should comprise sufficient expertise necessary to conduct a high-quality synthesis (researchers, clinicians, librarian sciences, etc.). Content expertise related to seniors’ health is mandatory, demonstrated past experience conducting knowledge synthesis activities is strongly encouraged (junior faculty should consider the mentorship supports required for success). The proposed synthesis must address one of the unanswered questions identified through the James Lind Alliance Seniors’ Health Priority Setting Partnership project.
