The Sweet Boys: a Multi-Channel Concert
With Live Video Projections by Nicole Cobb
Opening Noise Set by Cosmo Duff

November 8, 2019 | 7:30 pm | University Recital Hall
Presented by the Department of Music

The Sweet Boys are a group of atmospheric rockers & sound engineers from NYC. From 2011 to 2015 they meticulously combined psychedelic rock arrangements, synthesizer tones, progressive pop structures & cubist soundscapes into their debut LP Foible Pangs. In its current incarnation, the band is made up of 4 members, incorporating diverse instrumentation which includes guitars, drums, pianos, synthesizers, effect pedals, microphones, drum machines & feedback loops.

They recorded their second album in Studio One here at the University of Lethbridge (October, 2018) during a studio residency, giving a number of students in the Digital Audio Arts program hands-on experience in conducting a real-life session with a professional band.

Their new recording project and short Canadian tour finds the group adding free improvisation to their compositional process in order to author new jams for a new era.
