Why do we test our fire alarms every month?

Provincial legislation requires fire alarm speakers be tested each month to ensure their reliability in fire emergencies.

The U of L is committed to your safety, but it takes a team to make safety happen. While Fire Alarm Speaker Tests & Emergency Notification System Tests are generated by Emergency Management, testing is primarily conducted by Security Services Representatives.

Safety is everyone’s responsibility and YOU are part of the team. Get informed, be aware, and prepare yourself!
