What you need to know to book space in the new SAB

This notice is from the archives of The Notice Board. Information contained in this notice was accurate at the time of publication but may no longer be so.

The Registrar's Office (RO) is taking ad hoc room booking requests for RO-allocated conference and academic spaces in the new Science and Academic Building. Requests will be filled on a first come, first served basis for meetings and events taking place after the Sept. 13-15 grand opening weekend.

  • Conference spaces include the 7th floor atrium and patio as well as open spaces on floors 7, 8 and 9 that are appropriate for tabling or small gatherings.
  • General classroom spaces include rooms ranging from 10 to 246 persons, including: 10-person seminar rooms, 20-40–person classrooms, 110-140–person lecture rooms, and the 246-seat auditorium.*

*Ad hoc bookings in general classroom spaces during timetabled hours will open two months prior to the term starting to ensure room availability for classes. Bookings made prior to the start of term in general classroom space across campus are tentative as timetable changes continue until the first week of classes. Classroom space bookings can now be confirmed for events occurring outside of timetabled hours, such as weekends and term breaks.

Please contact the Registrar’s Office Room Booking Unit for more information about bookable spaces or to submit your booking request.
