During her 16 years at the University of Lethbridge, Bev Garnett has been the supportive and welcoming face to several departments, most simultaneously, all seeking her highly efficient and incredibly hard-working demeanour.
Whether she is helping a sea of students to book meetings with faculty members or using her eagle-eyes to proof read departmental publications, Bev’s attention to detail, her incredible institutional knowledge and her genuine enthusiasm to help others are a shining example to all who meet her.
Bev’s excellent judgment and ability to anticipate problems make her an instrumental member of each team she works within, garnering her the utmost respect from colleagues and managers alike.
Described by many as indispensable, Bev embodies everything you could hope for in a colleague. Bev leads by example, effortlessly brings out the best in those around her and helps to create an inspiring and supportive community.
Not only is Bev an active and involved University staff member, she has also been a vibrant addition to several local community groups including VOX Musica and Lethbridge Musical Theatre. Taking pride in showing her passion for her favourite sporting teams or her latest travel adventure, Bev is a constant source of light and humour, regardless of her workload.
For her tireless service, outstanding work ethic and so much more, the University of Lethbridge is proud to award Bev Garnett a President’s Award for Service Excellence.
