Bicycle Thefts on Campus

This notice is from the archives of The Notice Board. Information contained in this notice was accurate at the time of publication but may no longer be so.

Recently there has been an increase of bicycle thefts from bicycle racks on campus. The bicycles are secured with a cable lock or padlock that has been cut to allow access to the respective bicycle. Campus Security recommends the use of locks that are resistant to being cut with tools such as bolt cutters.  Examples include U-Bolt style locks, chain locks or cuff style locks that are constructed with hardened steel or titanium re-inforced steel.
