It's a year to celebrate, and the The U of L Jazz Ensemble invites audiences to join them for an evening of Our Favourites, featuring unforgettable melodies and classic jazz tunes, March 29 at 7:30 pm in the University Theatre!
Featuring pieces that the ensemble has loved playing in the past or has been waiting for the opportunity to perform, the Jazz Ensemble's program takes audiences on a jazz-filled journey showcasing the many talents of their technically refined ensemble under the direction of music faculty, Dr. Josh Davies. Highlights include music by Jeff Jarvis, Charles Goodwin, and Dave Brubeck and world premiere's by Department of Music students Kevin Jackson (trombone) and Caileigh Sheppard (piano).
The U of L Jazz Ensemble will also have CDs for sale in the lobby for their latest album, Swing Set.
Tickets for Our Favourites are available at the University Box Office, Monday - Friday (12:30 pm - 3:30 pm), or by calling (403) 329-2616. Tickets are also available online: ulethbridge.ca/tickets. Tickets are $20 regular, $15 seniors and alumni, and $12 students.
