The Rathwell collection (see 1892), described as a "crateful of Canadiana" 230 water colours, oil and pencil sketches and a manuscript copy of Wanderings of an Artist was sold to a Texas oil millionaire, H.J. Lutcher Stark. It is now with the Stark Foundation in Orange Texas.
