What was Waterton's Nondescript?

The most surprising of all Waterton's specimens are the strange creations or cartoons that he made using bits from a variety of animals and birds.

The Nondescript is the most famous as it was pictured at the start of his book Wanderings in South America. It is in the form of a bearded man, but was made from the skin of a howler monkey.
