They crossed the stage road Yesterday afternoon and are going up Camas Creek towards Henry's Lake. It is a very large outfit and took them five hours to cross. They did not do any damage that I heard of. They crossed between Hole-in-the-Rock station and Camas Creek station and went along straight. I was the man that was along the road.... There were five or six bucks came to Hole-in-the-Rock, but they found five of us there; we run them off and brought away all the stock and what we could.... No stage this morning.

The soldiers camped last night at Red Rock station 40 miles north of here.
