The Applied Studies Program offers students the opportunity to earn academic credit for learning gained through employment or volunteer experiences. The employability of University students often relates to a blend of professional and personal qualifications, such as previous work experience, maturity, enthusiasm, and an ability to work well with people. To be eligible for Applied Studies, students must have a minimum GPA of 2.0, second-year standing (a minimum of 30.0 credit hours) and have a work or volunteer placement that offers significant learning opportunities of a level suitable for the awarding of university credit.
Placements may be arranged by students or through the Applied Studies Office.
