During Convocation week, an esteemed group of individuals are inducted into the U of L Alumni Honour Society (Spring Convocation) and the Alumnus of the Year is recognized (Fall Convocation).
The Chancellor’s Dinner is a prestigious event held during spring convocation every year. The purpose of this event is to honour the many award winners and honorary degree recipients. Such awards range from student medal winners, the University of Lethbridge Volunteer Award, Alumni Honour Society inductees, Speaker Research Medal, the President’s Award for Service Excellence and many more.
Commencement marks the official beginning of the University of Lethbridge experience for our students. Family and friends are invited to watch as the incoming class is welcomed to the U of L community, joining the ranks of current students and following in the footsteps of the close to 40,000 alumni who came before them.
Convocation is one the most exciting times of the year on campus. It's a time-honoured ceremony that celebrates our students and their accomplishments, and recognizes individuals through honorary degrees, medal and awards. Convocation is held each spring and fall.
