Scotiabank supports establishment of International Student Emergency Bursary

The creation of an International Student Emergency Bursary is now a reality, thanks to a $4,070 matching donation from Scotiabank.

Jamie McMullin (BMgt ’06), branch manager of Scotiabank West, recently presented Dr. Andrew Hakin, Provost and Vice-President (Academic), with a cheque toward the establishment of the International Student Emergency Bursary. Scotiabank matched funds that were raised at the 24th Annual International Dinner’s silent auction on March 21, 2017.

This fund will be made available to students who are in dire financial need and without any alternative options available to them.  It has been a much-needed fund over the years, and is now available to the University's international students.
