Piquette champions unique learning environment

Dr. Noella Piquette is an associate professor and registered psychologist in the Faculty of Education.

Her research areas encompass inclusive education, counseling diverse clients, assessment and development psychology. She is currently involved in research on early literacy supports for rural communities, inclusive teahcing practices: differentiation and gender specific counselling treatment options.

Piquette teaches predominantly in educational psychology and counsellor training - her teaching and research interest areas are concentrated on supporting marginalized populations. She is keenly interested in application based research dissemination for early intervention and informing practice.

A proponent of the small class sizes at the U of L, she sees the unique relationship building that can occur when students and instructors work closely together, resulting in benefits for both.
