EUS tackles issue of bullying

The University of Lethbridge's Education Undergraduate Society (EUS) is leading the charge to protect your children.

The 3rd Annual Anti-Bullying and Cyberbullying Awareness Week is on now at the University of Lethbridge. With professional development workshops and a variety of engaging discussions, the EUS is trying to stem the tide of bullying by providing its developing teachers with the tools to help recognize and then fight this destructive influence in the classroom.

The three-day event runs Oct. 4-6 and includes a number of informative presentations. Wednesday's wrap-up sessions include Mark Yurick presenting, Tips and Strategies for Preventing and Dealing with Bullying, from noon to 12:50 p.m. in the Students' Union Ballrooms.

The final session of the week is from 6 to 8 p.m. as Dr. Robin Bright, Dr. Mary Dyck and Cst. Tom Gross present, Teaching in the 21st Century: Online Citizenship for Ourselves and Our Students.

For more information on the sessions or the EUS, contact the Society via e-mail or visit the office at TH368A.
