Covenant Health invites researchers to open house

Faculty members, graduate students and fourth-year undergraduate students are invited to attend an open house event today being hosted by Covenant Health, St. Michael's Lethbridge.

The idea of the open house is to allow researchers to explore the vast research opportunities that are present within their various facilities.

The opportunities for research cross over every discipline in the sciences, social sciences, humanities, health sciences, education, management and fine arts. Research opportunities exist in areas such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's patients, therapy procedures and equipment implementation, review of policy and procedures in a health setting, art/exercise therapy programs and so on.

Covenant Health also grants a maximum of $5,000 for research at any of their facilities.

The proposal deadline and further details will be announced at the open house on Thursday, Apr. 14 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at St. Therese Villa. Transportation will be provided from the University at noon at the 1st Choice Savings Centre main doors, and 12:10 p.m. at the north end of University Hall. The bus will leave St. Therese Villa at 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. to return to the University.
