Teaching Environment Survey

The Teaching Centre conducts a bi-annual survey with Faculty and Instructors to gather information related to a number of different areas that the Teaching Centre is involved in. In the past, these areas have been:

  • Classroom teaching strategies being employed
  • Types of learning resources being used to support teaching and learning
  • Types of classrooms that would best fit the teaching approach being employed
  • Impact of student technology on classroom teaching
  • Feedback on the support offerings that the Teaching Centre provides

The results of these questions are used to help shape some of the programming that the Teaching Centre engages in. The 2016 survey saw responses from over 190 Faculty and Instructors (as responser rate of approximately 26%). Some of the findings from that survey are outlined below:
