Working Alone

The University’s Working Alone registry is provided to enhance your personal safety and security while working or studying alone on campus, in accordance with the University’s Working Alone Protocol.  Registration notifies Campus Security of your location and estimated departure time, and can enable a ‘check-in’ feature for your safety while working alone.

There are two ways to register:

Download the uLethbridge Safe app and activate the Work Alone feature which will automatically check in with you at predetermined time intervals,

or

Complete the online registration form below and request that Campus Security checks in with you by selecting this in the form below.

You can also request a Safe Walk for your departure time with either the app or the online registry.

Your department or work unit may also have specific working alone procedures.  Supervisors can use the Working Alone Procedure template to create a standard operating procedure specific for their work unit.

If you are working away from campus, please notify your supervisor and follow your department or unit’s procedures for working alone.
