Student Study Rooms

uLethbridge students can book study rooms using the Enterprise Web Portal. Use the Portal to book study rooms in Markin Hall, the Library & Information Centre (LINC), and the Science & Academic Building::

  • LINC Study Rooms: L1061, L1063, L1070, L1072, L1074, L1076, L1078, L1080
  • Markin Study Rooms: M1062, M1064, M1068, M1070, M1072, M1073, M1074, M1075, M1076, M1077, M1078, M1080, M1082, M1084, M1086, M1088
  • Science Commons Study Rooms: SA7214, SA7216, SA7218, SA7220, SA7222, SA7226

 

Study Room Self-Service Guidelines

These guidelines support student success and equitable access to space.

  1. Students may book study rooms seven days a week, including holidays and term breaks. LINC study rooms are open during the December/January holiday closure.
  2. Bookings can be made up to five minutes in advance of the desired time of the booking. Bookings may be modified or cancelled up to five minutes in advance of the start time of the booking.
  3. Study rooms may be booked up to 14 days in advance.
  4. Rooms may be booked for a minimum of 15 minutes to a maximum of three hours. Students may book study rooms up to a total of fifteen hours per week.
  5. Rooms reserved, but unoccupied, after the initial 15 minutes of a booked time forfeit the room to another group.
  6. By creating a self-service booking, students agree to abide by all applicable university policies.

*Please note, the Student Enrolment & Registrar Services office may modify or cancel bookings, if required, given priority of timetabled classes.

 

Study Room Self-Service Portal Navigation

Accessing the Portal

  1. Find your way to the Portal.
  2. Login using your Bridge username and password.
  3. Welcome to the Portal homepage. Please note the three Self-Service tools on the left-hand side of your screen. These tools enable you to book study rooms, and review and update your confirmed bookings.

 

There are two tools you can use to book a study room: Find a Room and Book a Specific Room.

Find a Room

This tool lists all study rooms available for a given duration and timeframe.

  1. Select Find a Room from the list of Self-Service tools from the left-hand menu.
  2. Under Booking Criteria Location, choose your preferred location.  
  3. Under Availability, choose your preferred duration and timeframe. Click Verify Calendar to choose your preferred date.
  4. Select your preferred date to view available times and rooms.
  5. Check out the available room attributes on the table. Click on your preferred room ID (e.g. M1082) to proceed with booking.
  6. A pop-up screen asks if you’d like to proceed with the booking.
  7. Complete the required booking information and click Confirm.  
  8. A pop-up screen will confirm your booking. You’ll also receive an e-mail to your University of Lethbridge account confirming your booking.
Book a Specific Room

This tool lists specific study room availability for a given duration and timeframe.

  1. Select Book a Specific Room from the left-hand menu.
  2. Click on your preferred room ID (e.g. M1082) to proceed with booking. Use the Location drop-down menu (top of page) or Search bar (right-hand side of page) to narrow the results. See Figure 1 below.
  3. Under Availability, choose your preferred duration and timeframe. Click Verify Calendar to choose your preferred date.
  4. Select your preferred date to view available start times.
  5. Click Book to choose a Start Time.
  6. Complete the required booking information and click Confirm.
  7. A pop-up screen will confirm your booking. You’ll also receive an e-mail to your University of Lethbridge account confirming your booking.

This tool is used to review, modify or cancel your self-service bookings.

Review Bookings

  1. Select My Self-Service from the left-hand menu. An overview of your past and current study room bookings will appear.
  2. Review a booking by selecting it from your list of bookings. You will be provided with booking details including number of attendees, status, date, time, room information, and message history. Click the small envelope under Subject on the right-hand side to see the e-mail confirmation. See Figure 2 below.

Modify Bookings

Bookings may be modified up to five minutes in advance of the start time of the booking.

  1. Select My Self-Service from the left-hand menu. An overview of your past and current study room bookings will appear.
  2. Modify a booking by selecting it from your list of bookings and click Modify this Booking.
  3. A pop-up screen will appear giving you three options to modify your booking. Select the option that meets your needs and click Proceed.
    1. If you choose to keep the same room, you will be directed to the Book a Specific Room tool. Please use the directions for using this tool.
    2. If you choose to find a different room, you will be directed to the Find a Room tool. Please use the directions for using this tool.
  4. A pop-up screen will confirm your booking change. You’ll also receive an e-mail to your University of Lethbridge account confirming your booking. See Figure 3 below.
  5. View the original booking by selecting the linked reservation (e.g. #SS-0019) at the top of the page. The original booking is also linked to the modified booking. See Figure 4 below.

Cancel Bookings

Bookings may be cancelled up to five minutes in advance of the start time of the booking.

  1. Select My Self-Service from the left-hand menu. An overview of your past and current study room bookings will appear.
  2. Cancel a booking by selecting it from your list of bookings. You can either click the Cancel button on the right-hand side of the column, or scroll to the bottom of the list and Click Cancel this Booking.
  3. A pop-up screen will appear asking you to verify that you want to cancel the booking. Click Yes to confirm your booking. You’ll also receive an e-mail to your University of Lethbridge account confirming your booking.
  4. Review your cancellation by selecting the booking from the overview menu. See Figure 5 below.
