The University’s Academic Schedule defines the academic year terms and sessions as well as other important dates and deadlines for the institution. This includes holiday dates, deadlines for fees payments, adding and dropping courses, application for graduation, and other important related information.
The dates and deadlines for the Academic Schedule are established following these Academic Schedule Guidelines, a document approved by GFC and maintained by the Registrar’s Office.

Canada Day (University offices closed)
July 2, 2020
Interest charges calculated on any Summer Session I or prior fees, and added to accounts at the close of the business day.
July 6, 2020
First day of Summer Session II and II/III (classes begin).
July 9, 2020
Last day for course add/drop and registration for Summer Session II and II/III, for all students.
July 10, 2020
Registration for Audit Students for Summer Session II and II/III.
July 10, 2020 - July 14, 2020
Submission of Credit/Non-Credit course designations for Summer Session II and II/III.
July 13, 2020
Last day for cancellation of course registration (extended drop) for Summer Session II and II/III. After this date, students are assessed full fees.
July 24, 2020
Last day of classes for Summer Session II.
Last day for withdrawal from individual courses, or complete withdrawal, for Summer Session II.
Last day for application for Withdrawal with Cause for Summer Session II.
July 27, 2020
Summer Session II final examinations.
Last day of Summer Session II.
July 28, 2020
Last Tuesday class meeting for Summer Term - full term courses scheduled Tuesday only.
July 29, 2020
Last Wednesday class meeting for Summer Term - full term courses scheduled Wednesday only.
July 30, 2020
Deadline for submission of final grades for Summer Session II – 12:00 p.m. (noon).

- Dates and Deadlines for Summer 2021 to Spring 2023 are tentative and subject to change.
- When a deadline date occurs on a Weekend, Statutory or Civic Holiday, or Office Closure, the deadline will be the next working day.
- Students in internship/practicum/practice courses in the Faculty of Health Sciences may be required to complete hours outside of the regularly scheduled term.
