The purpose of the University’s Environment, Health and Safety Management System (EHSMS) is to provide a framework of workplace accountabilities and responsibilities as well as performance metrics for the University’s environment, health and safety programs. Communication is vital to the success of the EHSMS. It is important to involve all employees in the EHSMS and provide an opportunity to give feedback on health and safety issues by using the Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle of continuous improvement.
