Dr. Alexander Bilson Darku is Interim Director of the Prentice Institute and Associate Professor of Economics, in the Faculty of Arts and Science, at the University of Lethbridge. Prior to his present position, Dr. Darku taught at McGill University and Concordia University. He teaches and researches in the fields of International Economics, Economic Development and Monetary Economics. In addition to his teaching experience, Dr. Darku has served as a consultant to the World Bank (Washington DC) between 1998 and 2002. He has also spent two years (1995-1997) working with Price Waterhouse Coopers, Accra, Ghana as an economist.

Dr. Susan A. McDaniel served as Director of the Prentice Institute from 2009 to August of 2019.  She is Prentice Research Chair in Global Population & Economy (through August of 2020) and is a Professor of Sociology at the University of Lethbridge.

Research Interests: Life course, demographic aging, generational relations, family change and social impacts of technology.
