I have been working at the University of Lethbridge since 2007 in a variety of part-time positions across campus: School of Social Work, Research, Services, The Health Centre, University Advancement, President’s Office, Faculty of Fine Arts, School of Graduate Studies and now Human Resources. I am excited to be able to provide support for the People Plan Committee, a group working on enhancing and improving the environment for the university’s greatest asset – the people! This is a great opportunity to help support the direction that “people related” initiatives will be headed. The university is a vibrant and exciting place to work – with the energy of students, diversity of the faculty & staff and natural beauty of the coulees. I often walk the coulees, with camera in hand, in search of the Great Horned Owl family, that have been nesting on campus. I have been following them with a photo journal since 2009. This May I took one of my best photos, yet – all four babies in a row! I am also an avid quilter and am pleased to be working on the Organizing Committee responsible for Quilt Canada 2015, which will be held at the University of Lethbridge in June 2015.
