Craig Loewen has been with the University of Lethbridge for 27 years. He is a UofL alumnus (BEd ’84) and mathematics educator whose research includes how students learn and how teachers can promote and enrich student learning. He has received the University of Lethbridge Distinguished Teaching Award, and the Educational Research Award from the Alberta Teachers’ Association, which acknowledge his involvement in pre-service and in-service mathematics education. He was inducted into the University of Lethbridge Alumni Honour Society in 2011. Craig has served in a number of administrative capacities in the Faculty of Education, and is currently serving as dean. Working on the People Plan has been another very positive and worthwhile experience, particularly getting to know and collaborate with the many dedicated and committed members of the university community who are also serving on the People Plan Committee.
