Call for Undergraduate Research Posters

The Office of Research and Innovation Services (ORIS) invites those undergraduates and supervisors who have participated in research activities to display a poster and describe the project they were involved in on March 14, 2017 from 11:00am to 1:00pm.

The poster session is open to all undergraduate researhcers and the ORIS would like to showcase undergraduate research projects that have occurred over the last year with support from Summer Studentships or as applied/independent studies, co-op opportunities, Innovation Research Grant recipients and scholarship winners.  Summer Studentships include NSERC USRAs, Chinook Summer Studentships, and AIHS Summer Studentships.

The ORIS is having a two-hour poster session from 11:00 am to 1:00pm in the University Hall Atrium on March 14th, 2017.  Students are encouraged to develop a poster explaining their project and present it during this two hour window.  If you are unavailable for the entire time, we ask you display the poster for the entire time and stand by it when you are available.  If you have a poster already developed, you are welcome to use it to share information about your project.  If you do not have a poster, the ORIS will help to facilitate the development of one.  In this case, please contact penny.dagnone@uleth.ca before February 16, 2017 with Subject Line: UNDERGRAD SHOWCASE.

Deadlines for Expressions of Interest are on March 1, 2017.  By March 1, 2017, we would like a one paragraph description of the project undertaken and a description of the student’s experience and details regarding poster size.  For more information, contact penny.dagnone@uleth.ca.

In addition, if you are aware of research projects that were unfunded or not part of an applied/independent study or co-op opportunity, we invite you to pass along this message to potential students involved in research and their supervisors.  We invite them to participate in this showcase.
