U of L community member self-isolating

This notice is from the archives of The Notice Board. Information contained in this notice was accurate at the time of publication but may no longer be so.

The University of Lethbridge has received unconfirmed reports that a member of our University community (Lethbridge campus) has been in contact with an individual who tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. Out of an abundance of caution, we want to share the following information.

A member of our campus community has reported to us that their partner, who recently returned from an international trip, has tested positive for COVID-19. The affected individual has not been on campus since returning, however our community member has. Both individuals are currently in self-isolation. This community member informed their supervisor, within the University Centre for the Arts, who in turn directed those who had been in close contact with this person. As a precautionary measure, the U of L has asked all of these individuals to self-isolate.

Cleaning actions have been implemented. This will further reduce transmission risk and we have closed the specific facilities associated with this individual until further notice. The University is monitoring this situation and will provide additional updates as appropriate.
