The Oct. 2016 SSHRC Insight Grant competition is now open. SSHRC no longer requires a formal notice of intent to apply for Insight Grants. However, to allow adequate time for proper institutional review and to offer full feedback, we request that applicants submit complete drafts by Sept. 19. Please use the Research Proposal Form on the Bridge, with an electronic preview draft of your application attached, to make your internal submission.
Insight Grants support research excellence in the social sciences and humanities. Funding valued from $7,000 to $400,000 is available to both emerging and established scholars for long-term research initiatives of three to five years. Please review the competition guidelines and get in touch with Hector MacIntyre if you have any questions about the application process.
