Seeking Math and Stats Help Sessions Tutors for the Fall

The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science and the Student Success Centre is seeking to hire a supervisor and a team of tutors for the Math and Stats Help Sessions this fall.

 

Math and Stats Help Session Tutor:

Tutors will support students and assist in their understanding of course concepts for a wide variety of undergraduate mathematics and statistics courses. The Help Sessions will run Monday to Thursday from 6 - 8 p.m. (excluding fall break). Tutors will be scheduled for 2-hour shifts between two and four evenings per week. Wage: $20.40/hour. Employment: September 19 – December 6, 2018. Please see the tutor application form for more details.

 

Math and Stats Help Session Supervisor:

In addition to working as a tutor at the Math and Stats Help Sessions, the supervisor will work with the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science and the Student Success Centre to schedule, advertise, and ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the Math and Stats Help Sessions. The supervisor will also collect attendance statistics and prepare a report at the end of the semester. The time commitment is 3-4 hours per week. Compensation: $1050.00 for the semester (September 5 – December 14, 2018). Please see the supervisor application form for more details.
