President's Award for Service Excellence: APO Nancy Pastoor

For the past 15 years, Nancy Pastoor has been a dedicated professional in the Human Resources department. Described as a pillar of strength, she handles change, conflict and delicate negotiations with grace and respect.

Nancy has been pivotal as a member of the AUPE negotiating team. Highly intelligent, patient and an excellent listener, she is an exceptional liaison. Her ability to balance complex collective agreements, employment legislation and human nature has stood the entire department, and the University as a whole, in good stead. She holds a wealth of labour relations knowledge, is a skilled mediator and is the epitome of diplomacy.  

Handling difficult conversations is a daily task for Nancy, and she always does so with kindness. Her colleagues depend on her honesty, problem-solving skills, calming nature and wonderful sense of humour. As someone who thrives on giving, Nancy cares for her team and is always motivated to be her best for the people she works with. She has earned the trust of her colleagues and clients alike.

Many will meet Nancy because of her role with the University of Lethbridge, but they will remember her for her strong work ethic and dedication to excellence.

For these reasons and countless more, the University of Lethbridge is proud to award Nancy Pastoor a President’s Award for Service Excellence.
