It is with great sadness that we learned of the untimely passing of former Premier of Alberta Jim Prentice today. The University of Lethbridge community extends its deepest condolences to his family and friends.
Mr. Prentice's commitment to post-secondary learning and research in the province, and his support of the University of Lethbridge and its goals and ideals, was unwavering. As a federal Minister and Premier of Alberta, Mr. Prentice enthusiastically supported many U of L initiatives and was a champion for southern Alberta.
His contributions to the province and the country will serve as his legacy.
