Yesterday, Albertans elected a new government to lead our province.
On behalf of the University of Lethbridge, I offer congratulations to all of the newly elected members of the legislative assembly. I also extend our appreciation to all candidates who put their names forward and participated in this election. The University attracts students from every corner of Alberta and the research activities of our faculty benefit our entire province. Our alumni are leaders in the communities that make up all Alberta ridings.
Universities will play an important role in the economic success of the province as well as ensuring a high quality of life for all Albertans. This can only be done effectively in partnership with our new provincial government. The University of Lethbridge is looking forward to building strong working relationships with the newly elected and re-elected members of Alberta’s legislature and the public service that supports it.
