Researchers who intend to apply for or renew their NSERC Discovery Grant in the 2017 competition must submit a Notification of Intent to Apply (NOI) by August 1, 2016, 6:00 p.m. (Mountain time). A completed NOI is mandatory if you plan to submit a full application this fall.
There is no internal University of Lethbridge deadline for submitting a Discovery Grant NOI. Please note that although August 1 is a University of Lethbridge holiday, it is not considered a national holiday. Therefore, August 1 is the firm deadline at NSERC in Ottawa.
