Need A Fine Arts GLER? History of Musical Theatre is for you!

This course will explore musical theatre from its earliest forms to contemporary Broadway musicals. You will experience great composers/lyricists such as Rogers and Hammerstein, Lerner and Loewe, Webber and Rice, Kander and Ebb, and Sondheim, among others. The course will include an overview of such shows as Show Boat, Oklahoma, South Pacific, My Fair Lady, Fiddler on the Roof, West Side Story, Cabaret, Company, Jesus Christ Superstar, A Chorus Line, Chicago, Sweeney Todd the Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Les Miserables, The Phantom of the Opera, Into the Woods, Rent, The Producers, Spamalot, Spring Awakening, Wicked, Hamilton, and Come From Away.
