ASBESTOS REMOVAL - UNIVERSITY HALL E3
Please be advised on August 11 and August 12, 2017 contractors will be performing asbestos removal in the University Hall E3 area. A containment will be set up. This will not affect any public corridors or spaces.
This is a normal procedure for any renovation project executed involving asbestos abatement. Removal will be completed consistent with the requirements of the Alberta Occupational Health & Safety Code, and performed by trained and certified workers pursuant to the required code of practice to ensure that there is no health risk to public or construction workers. Air monitoring will be completed by an independent environmental technologist and the reports will be posted on the Risk and Safety Services website.
