Data Storage Training now available

As technology continues to evolve and our dependency on information sharing increases, it is becoming increasingly critical to ensure that academic and administrative staff classify, store and share their data appropriately.  Following the release of the new Data Storage Standard, the Information Security Office has developed an online training course for the University community to familiarize themselves with the new data classification standard and provide assistance in determining proper storage techniques for the variety of University information they are exposed to.

In support of the Standard, the Information Security Office has created training material which all staff and faculty will be required to complete every two years.  The training is approximately 20 minutes long and is designed to familiarize the campus with data classification and proper storage methods for their data.

The training is being hosted by Office Mix, a new Microsoft Office software product, which can be accessed with your University username and password. In order to participate in the training, visit the following URL and sign in with your U of L username and password:
