Congratulations to Dr. Carly Adams on her new appointment

Department of Kinesiology & Physical Education professor, Dr. Carly Adams, has been appointed acting associate dean of the School of Graduate Studies for a term beginning on Thursday, August 15 and ending on December 31.

Adams completed a Bachelor of Human Kinetics at the University of Windsor and a PhD at the University of Western Ontario. As a social historian and advocate for oral history, her research explores community, identity and gender with a focus on sport, recreation and leisure experiences. Adams is currently collaborating with Dr. Darren Aoki from Plymouth University in England on the Nikkei Memory Capture Project, which focuses on the stories of Japanese Canadians in southern Alberta after the Second World War.
