Congratulations to Catalina Giraldo Garcia, recipient of the EAP Completion Scholarship for her work in meeting her English Language Proficiency requirement by completing the EAP program. Catalina came to Uleth in the Summer 2019 term from Colombia, and is beginning her studies this fall in the Faculty of Fine Arts with a major in Digital Audio Arts. Catalina is very interested in a future in music production.
Catalina is an accomplished piano player and loves to read about the history of music. Catalina chose to come to the University of Lethbridge after researching the programs that the University of Lethbridge has to offer, our campus and the surrounding area. Catalina was attracted to the fact that Lethbridge “is not a big city, but still has lots to do, and is one of the sunniest cities in Canada.”
Catalina was chosen as this term’s recipient of the EAP Completion Scholarship because of her excellent attitude and work ethic. Her EAP instructors, Adriana Lima and Jill Burnell, were proud of Catalina’s work in the EAP program, stating that “Catalina’s growth in EAP and motivation to achieve her dreams, combined with her excitement to begin undergraduate studies, provide her with the tools for a successful future”, and that “Catalina is a very talented student who has a lot of potential to excel in her undergraduate courses. I am positive that she has a very bright future ahead of her.”
We are confident that Catalina has a bright future as a music producer and will achieve great success in her Digital Audio art program. Good luck Catalina, and congratulations!
