Condolence Notice - Helen Williams

The University of Lethbridge offers its sincere condolences to the family and friends of former longtime employee Helen Williams who passed away Feb. 8, 2015 at the age of 96 years.

Williams began her career at the U of L as a secretary in the Registrar's Office in July 1969. She continued in an administrative assistant role over the next 14 years, moving to the Deparrtment of Art in 1976 and working in that capacity until her retirement in 1983.

October 25, 1918 to February 8, 2015

With our hearts filled with sadness and love, we said goodbye to our dear Mom, Grandma and G.G. She passed away peacefully with her family at her side. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Trish & Glen Gurr, 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. “Grandma Dynamite” leaves us with many loving and funny memories from her long and fulfilled life. She was predeceased by her husband Bob, daughter Karen, son Jim as well as all six of her siblings. Special thanks to the staff at Oilfields Hospital in Black Diamond and to the Southwood Hospice for their excellent and sympathetic care. A family service will be held on a later date.
