Condolence Notice — Professor Emerita Toni Nelson

The University of Lethbridge offers its heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Dr. Toni Nelson, professor emerita in Management, who passed away in Calgary on Friday, April 6 at the age of 72.

Originally from Utah, Nelson and her husband settled in southern Alberta where she, as a chartered accountant, became a respected member of the professional community in Lethbridge. After completing a doctoral degree from the University of Oregon, Nelson accepted a position with the Faculty of Management, now the Dhillon School of Business, at the U of L in 1991. She remained with the University until 2011 and was a professor, assistant dean and acting dean during that time.

An obituary notice can be found online at Choice Memorial. A celebration of life ceremony has been scheduled for 2 p.m., Sunday, April 15 at Choice Memorial in Calgary.

The U of L will lower its flag on Sunday in honour of Nelson.
