Condolence Notice — Lloyd Hickman

The University of Lethbridge was saddened to hear of the passing of Lloyd Hickman and extends its sincere condolences to his friends and family. Hickman passed away on Feb. 16 after a brief illness at the age of 75.

After a full career with the RCMP in locales across the country, Hickman and his family made Lethbridge their home in 1992. He retired in 2003 and became active with a number of local organizations, including serving on the U of L Senate from 2002 to 2008. A community-minded man through and through, Hickman received a Key to the City of Lethbridge for his service.

An obituary is available at Martin Brothers Funeral Chapels. A celebration of life will be scheduled in the future. The U of L will honour Hickman by lowering the flag on Thursday, Feb. 25.
