Highlights from the U of L's Relaunch Coordination Committee

August summer camps to proceed
Summer camps offered through Destination Exploration and Horns Recreation will proceed in August, operating according to the provincial guidelines for day camps. Read more on UNews.

Relaunch Coordinator role
As the U of L gradually eases restrictions to campus, relaunch coordinators have been appointed to facilitate the relaunch plans of various departments, units and faculties. These coordinators will help develop a Return to Work Health and Safety Plan for their respective areas, as well as complete a hazard assessment for the spaces in their purview. Relaunch coordinators are also responsible for communicating within their designated units and to bring any issues, feedback or questions forward to the Relaunch Coordination Committee if needed.

Preparing for teaching
The Teaching Centre has hired three co-op students as digital technical advisers to provide workshops and answer questions about technologies such as Moodle and Zoom. Nine more are expected to be hired for the Fall 2020 semester.

New Student Orientation
Planning for this year’s NSO is well underway. Activities will be online from Monday, Aug. 31 to Tuesday, Sept. 8, with the first day of classes on Wednesday, Sept. 9.
