Notice Board

On behalf of the Board of Governors of the University of Lethbridge, the Office of the Vice-President (Research) is soliciting internal nominations for up to four Tier II Board of Governors Research Chairs in the following disciplines: Health Sciences, Humanities, Management, and Sciences.

This opportunity has come about due to a restructuring of the Board of Governors Research Chair (BoGRC) and University Scholar programs. The BoGRC program has been expanded to include two strata (Tier I and Tier II), with the former continuing to reward faculty with a distinguished record of internationally recognized scholarly activity and the latter intended for early to mid-career researchers with outstanding potential for the same. Existing BoGRCs will be grandfathered into the restructured program as “Tier I Board of Governors Research Chairs.”  University of Lethbridge Scholars will retain the University Scholar title for the duration of the award, with Tier II BoGRCs gradually established as the U of L Scholar program expires.

Applications should be submitted electronically, with the subject “BoGRC Nomination” to ORIS (oris@uleth.ca) by November 13, 2015.  If letters of support are submitted in hard copy, please send to ORIS to the attention of Penny Pickles. Letters of support are due by Nov. 30. After this date, incomplete nominations will not be considered.
