Notice Board

On behalf of the Board of Governors of the University of Lethbridge, the Interim Vice-President (Research) is pleased to announce a call for applications for the Board of Governors Research Chair (BoGRC) program.

In this call, there are up to 4 BoGRC positions available at the Tier I level.  Due to recent efforts to achieve diversity and equity within Tier I appointments, we have a achieved a relative balance of chairs by discipline and gender  As a result, in this call we are accepting applications from all disciplines.

Full Professors with demonstrated excellence in scholarly or creative activity and outstanding leadership potential are invited to apply.  Associate Professors who anticipate being appointed to Full Professor within the term of appointment are also invited to apply.

A Tier I BoGRC cannot be held concurrently with another internal or external research chair or named professorship during their appointment. Appointments will be made for a five-year term effective July 1, 2022.

Expectations

Board of Governors Research Chairs will play a leadership role in promoting the overall development of research and creative activity at the University of Lethbridge, beyond their personal research programs.  All BoGRCs should be dedicated to the training and preparing the of the next generation researchers, scholars, and artists.

(https://www.uleth.ca/vp-research/board-governors-research-chair)   Applications including all supporting material should be submitted electronically, with the subject “BoGRC Nomination” to Penny Pickles via ORIS@uleth.ca by November 17, 2020.  Letters of support may be submitted directly to ORIS via the same email address.

Applications that are incomplete after November 17 will be withdrawn from the competition.
