Alberta Health Services (AHS) has issued a memo to all Alberta post-secondary institutions providing an overview of the Wuhan novel Coronavirus.

While the situation is a rapidly changing one and numbers of confirmed cases are changing daily, AHS has determined the current risk for Alberta is low.

Information from Alberta Health Services about the Coronavirus situation, including a description of symptoms and prevention, can be found at https://www.alberta.ca/coronavirus-info-for-albertans.aspx

Additional information that provides greater context to the situation, and updates, can be found at https://www.albertahealthservices.ca/topics/Page16944.aspx.

Also, late last year, the University of Lethbridge recommended against travel to parts of China in response to rising political tensions in the country. That recommendation remains in effect.

The Government of Canada has issued a travel advisory in response to the novel Coronavirus situation, which can be found at https://travel.gc.ca/destinations/china.
