2018/2019 Information Security Awareness Training launched

This notice is from the archives of The Notice Board. Information contained in this notice was accurate at the time of publication but may no longer be so.

With the introduction of the Information Security Awareness and Training policy, we are pleased to announce the launch of the 2018/19 training campaign. As per the policy, all faculty and staff are required to take this training. You can find the policy on the University's policy website.

The training takes between an hour and 90 minutes for most to complete but can be done in multiple sittings without losing progress. This year's training will cover CEO Fraud which is an increasingly common type of phishing scam.

You can use this link to start your training (be sure to hover over all links to make sure they are not redirecting you to a different location):

https://www.knowbe4.com

or because links are generally seen as suspicious in emails and websites, you can cut and paste the text of the above link into the address bar of your browser instead of clicking on the link.

When you arrive at the knowbe4 website, click on the "Account Login" button, and enter your email address into the field. You will then be taken to our University login page where you will enter your credentials. From there, click on the training tab and you will be able to start the program.

If you would like to request additional training for yourself or your team(s), please reach out to the Information Security Office to discuss your needs. There is a variety of training available.

Thank you for helping us keep the University of Lethbridge safe from cybercrime.
