In collaboration with the Regional Innovation Network of Southern Alberta (RINSA) the UILO Office is pleased to present this year's iteration of the Sprint! Ventures competition for the Physical Sciences. This contest offers senior undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to mobilize their entrepreneurial and research endeavours for the benefit of society. The winning student(s) will be offered $8500 in seed capital, as well as mentorship from the UILO Manager, a four-time startup owner, and assistance in developing a company and patenting and protecting the innovation.
Students may submit individually or within a group. At least one member of the group must major in the physical or life sciences.
Submissions will be accepted from January 1 till February 1st. A decision will be made by March 30th.
Lunch hour info sessions will be held from 12:00-12:50 pm during the month of January for students who would like more information. Dates and locations below:
