Mental Health First Aid (for Adults who Interact with Youth)

Mental Health First Aid (for Adults who Interact with Youth) courses and certification are available free of charge to interested staff, faculty and students at the University of Lethbridge.

Mental Health First Aid is the help provided to a person developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. This 14 hour course prepares faculty, staff and students to help someone dealing with mood disorders, substance related disorders, psychotic disorders, eating disorders, self harm and anxiety disorders. Key intervention strategies for crisis first aid are included. For more information on Mental Health First Aid, please visit mentalhealthfirstaid.ca

The next course is scheduled for afternoons on June 16, 18, 23, and 25:

Tuesday, June 16th: 1:00-4:30pm (Substance Related Disorders)
Thursday, June 18th: 1:00-4:30pm (Mood Disorders)
Tuesday, June 23rd: 1:00-4:30pm (Anxiety Disorders & Eating Disorders)
Thursday, June 25th: 1:00-4:30pm (Self Harm & Psychotic Disorders)

**Participants must attend all 4 sessions to be certified. **
