The University of Lethbridge Faculty of Fine Arts Advanced and Senior Studio students are pleased to announce the Open House Exhibition of student artwork created during the 2014-2015 school year. The Open House will run April 21st and 22nd from 10am to 4pm on the 8th floor of the Center of the Arts Building located on the University of Lethbridge campus.
Artwork of students enrolled in advanced and senior studio classes in the University art program will be featured in a diverse display of talent. The show provides an exciting opportunity to explore the personal studio spaces of aspiring artists, and the facilities where their art is produced.
The Open House will feature a wide range of art mediums including: sculpture, digital fabrication, painting, drawing, photography, film, printmaking, and multimedia installation art. Tours of the spaces exhibiting artwork will be made available by request at the greeting table located at the entrance of the 8th floor.
Student run and curated, the Art Department Open House 2015 is an exciting demonstration of the flourishing art scene in Southern Alberta. The student artworks on display represent current contemporary art practice, and demonstrate how a degree in visual arts at the University of Lethbridge can help students find their way to a career in the arts.
There will be a closing reception and awards ceremony at 4pm on April 22nd to end the Art Open House and recognize outstanding student achievement. The public is welcome to attend and celebrate with the students and professors from the Faculty.
