University of Lethbridge Wind Orchestra and University of Lethbridge Jazz Ensemble in Concert

Despite the odds, the University of Lethbridge Wind Orchestra and University of Lethbridge Jazz Ensemble continue to do what they do best! Log in for two consecutive performances by each ensemble, April 17 beginning at 7:30 pm, from the comfort of your own home.
The University of Lethbridge Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Chee Meng Low shares a rich program of wind band performance featuring works by Omar Thomas, Eiji Suzuki, Joseph Horovitz, Satoshi Yagisawa, and Shin'ya Takahashi. The evening also includes a special piece featuring the winner of the 2019 - 2020 U of L Wind Orchestra Concerto Competition, Brendan Ukrainetz (euphonium). This concert demonstrates a full range of talent for woodwind flexible ensemble, brass choir, and the full ensemble.
The University of Lethbridge Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Josh Davies also shares an eclectic program entitled, Anything But Swing. Enjoy the smooth sounds of this ensemble, featuring the U of L Jazz Combo, from the comfort of your own living room! The ensemble is eager to share their talent, including a special piece composed by student, Gerald Rogers.
